And for once, it’s not about my marriage.
There is a child at Ben’s daycare that is causing an extreme problem. I’ve met with the teachers, the assistant director and the director. We are NOT the only parents concerned. This child is aggressive and has hit my son three times in my presence, and shoved/injured another in front of me. Multiple times he has charged at other children that I witnessed.
Ben is displaying issues at home as a result, and now acts terrified of school.
The parents have been talked too. Minor adjustments made. But it’s just not to my satisfaction. The child took a bucket full of sand and swung it at an older child on the playground, knocking them down and injuring their face.
It’s killing me to feel this way about a 2 year old. As an educator, and a mom, I deeply empathize with the patents. However, as a mom, I must protect my son. He is not a sacrifice for their child. None of these kids are.
I had a lengthy conversation with our pediatrician’s nurse practitioner today. She felt that the situation is not safe and we should seriously consider pulling Ben out.
It doesn’t feel fair… He loves his teachers, he used to talk about his friends. Now it’s all “(redacted) is mean” and hitting and screaming. Honestly I’m concerned if we move Ben, he will become the aggressor at another school.
I just don’t know how to deal.
Omg my ex was all focused on my nails… Even tried to pull it out in court!!! Douchebag.Haha!
